If you ended up for some reason with more than one accound and want them to be merged, please post an answer in this thread (including links to the accounts to be merged and telling us which one you'd like to keep) and an administrator will help you as soon as possible.

Eventually the user should also tell us, which of the accounts he likes to keep. Only the posts (and naturally also the corresponding points) will be merged, but not the content of the user profile (wall, about, etc.).

Hello!

Could you please merge this account to the SE acount:

http://physics.stackexchange.com/users/87078/lefteris

I would like to keep my SE account.

Thank you!

answered Aug 28, 2015 by LefterisUT (25 points) [ revision history ]

Hi Lefteris, welcome to PhysicsOverflow!

As PO is not in the SE network, we can not directly merge PO and SE accounts.

To preserve your login data, I had to merge the PO account Lefteris into the PO account LefterisUT, but you can easily change your display name and many other things from the Edit Profile link in the top menu bar.

Also, if there are on topic SE posts you would like to see on PO too, you can request them to be imported here.

Hello,
This is MycrofD from stackexchange.com ( http://stackexchange.com/users/4452186/mycrofd ). I have the same username and the same email address here and there. May they be merged/linked together? I wish that my both accounts be preserved. Do help, kindly. Thanks!

answered Aug 29, 2015 by MycrofD (10 points) [ no revision ]

Hi MycrofD, I have attached your imported posts with your PO account as requested.

Hi, my name is David Bar Moshe and I am a physics stack exchange user. There is an account on my name in this site. I would like to register and activate the physics overflow account. Thank you very much.

answered Apr 7, 2016 by anonymous [ no revision ]

Hi David Bar Moshe nice to see you here!

The simplest way to obtain access to your imported account and content for you would be to follow the link Reclaim SE account under the title Tools for SE users in the right side bar.

We will have to send you temporary login data by email.

Hello please merge my SE account here : http://physics.stackexchange.com/users/16843/daaxix

Thanks

Hi daaxix, welcome to PhysicsOverflow.

As we are not in the SE network, we can not associate your Physics SE account with the PhysicsOverflow account you used to post this answer directly.

But if you have asked or answered for PhysicsOverflow on-topic questions on SE, you can request them to be imported here

http://www.physicsoverflow.org/4536

and we can then associate these posts with your PhysicsOverflow account.

In the linked thread, you can generally request SE questions you think would be on-topic to be imported.

Hello.
I have an account on physics.SE. I logged there using OpenID, with this account: http://physics.stackexchange.com/users/31572/federico-carta

When I registered here in physicsoverflow I made I mistake, and now I have two different accounts.

Can you please merge the accounts?

answered May 27, 2015 by Fedecart (90 points) [ revision history ]

Hi Federico Carta, welcome to PhysicsOverflow !

I have merged the PO account Federico Carta into Fedecart (we are not able to merge SE profiles into PO profiles), and you can change the username, your login data, etc from the Edit Profile link at the top of the page.

If there are on-topic SE posts you would like to see on PO too, you can request them to be imported here:

I have just answered this question: http://www.physicsoverflow.org/31433/is-m-theory-just-a-m-yth but I did something wrong. I forgot to login and so the answer appears with author "anonymous": http://www.physicsoverflow.org/ip/130.43.128.36

Is it possible to merge this account with my account: http://www.physicsoverflow.org/user/40227  ?

By the way is it not a bug that I was able to submit an answer without being asked to login but with rather an automatically generated "anonymous" author?

answered May 30, 2015 by 40227 (5,110 points) [ no revision ]

Hi 40227,

I have just made you the author of your nice answer (no pun intented), such that it is now correctly associated with your account.

At present, the fact that even unregistered users can answer questions is by intention. It agrees with what is written in the FAQ in the chapter about permissions:

http://physicsoverflow.org/faq#a8226

Of course, if you feel that this (or anything else) should be changed, it can be brought up for discussion in meta.

Hi, I am Peter Anderson from SE. I would like this account to be merged with http://physicsoverflow.org/user/Peter+Anderson

Could I take the username Peter Anderson? (instead of the new account anderson)

Cheers!

answered Jun 15, 2015 by Peter Anderson (205 points) [ revision history ]

Hi Peter, welcome to PhysicsOverflow!

to preserve your capability to log in, I had to do it the other way round...

But from the Edit Profile link at the top of the page, you can easily change your user name, login data, and other things as needed any time.

Also, if there are SE posts you would like to see on PO too, you can request them to be imported here.

Hi TanMath, welcome to PhysicsOverflow!

I have merged TanMath into user123 to ensure that your login data keep valid.

Hello.

`Could you please this account with my SE account of the same name? Please preserve the SE acct.

Thanks!

answered Sep 26, 2015 by Aabaakawad (55 points) [ no revision ]

Hi Aabaakawad, welcome to PhysicsOverflow.

As we are not in the SE network, it is not possible to directly link PO and SE accounts.

But if there are for PO on-topic SE posts you would like to see here too, you can request them to be imported here.
