  References on Josephson ring modulators

I would like some good references on Josephson junctions and, in particular, Josephson ring modulators. I know that Devoret has written a handful of papers and notes on JJs, but I am hoping to find something that clearly explains the Josephson ring setup in Bergeal et al's paper.

To my knowledge and taste this paper is the best introduction to this device. It is sometimes called a Josephson mixer : arxiv.org/abs/1503.08185 Note there are other closely related proposal (though not biased the same way) and called rhombi, see arxiv.org/abs/cond-mat/0111224 for instance or arxiv.org/abs/0802.2295 for the implementation
