How many photons emits a single fluorophore molecule within a certain time?

Hello guys, I was wondering, if I have a single fluorescent molecule with known fluorescence lifetime and I excite it with continuous illumination for a given time T, can I presume that the molecule is repeteadly excited and deexcited with each of these revolutions lasting for the duration of the lifetime? So in the end the amount of all emitted photons is simply time T divided by the fluorescence lifetime? Thanks for your ideas, Martin
