How was the commenting revision history function introduced?

I'm impressed with the commenting revision history function that seems to have been introduced just recently. It's enabled me to see openly that Dimension10 Arnold Neumaier removed part of my comment to him dimension10: "I think you're being deliberately ignorant" in response to his the latter's comment to me which he's left in: "You're being silly".

How much work was involved in introducing this very nice open function?

By the way, complaints about editing or rudeness should be posted on meta under the category 'conflict resolution', and not in the thread where the problem appeared.

Please delete your comment there, and make sure before you accuse anyone that you get the facts right.

@Arnold Neumair OK, I've deleted the comment in the thread, thanks. And apologies to Dimension10 for falsely accusing him of making an edit of my comment without him doing the same to his own.

Your question looks like "my comment was edited" and then a huge non sequitur.

It was me who removed this part of your comment as off-topic and pejorative. See the editing guidelines in the FAQ (point 8).

The editor (in this case me) is also mentioned in the history. Every user with >500 rep is allowed to edit according to the guidelines.

To be fair, I just also edited dimension10's statement. Thus you can see how things work.

Polarkernel spent a lot of time on this feature, as it was essential to bring peace to PO.
