# Why is my answer being downvoted then unvoted multiple times?

For the past few days, I've been getting updates on an old answer I can no longer see because of my low reputation to the question: Who wants to help us as/should be a moderator ?

They usually start with a down-vote, followed within an hour by an un-vote, which I initially thought was down to the voter changing their mind.

But I've counted this to have happened 3 times from my history page, although I'm pretty sure that it might be more like 6 and these are no longer recorded for some reason.

Could someone who has access to the voting log find out what's going on?

My guess would be that it's the vote on Dilaton's moderatorship nomination your proposed, given the recent disputes, it's not surprising to have upvotes, retraction, and downvotes mulitple times.
That was almost certainly Dilaton's nomination.
Is someone trying to be funny by downvoting, then un-voting this question :D?
@physicsnewbie, nobody can be sure of that, but there are many possibilities other than trying to be funny, such as changing mind or misclicking.
